Wendover Rooftop Glazed Enclosures

RLP were invited to take over the management  of ten rooftop glazed enclosures that were in a very poor state, to a large block of residential units in London and asked us to come on board of the project.

RLP procured and appointed the main contractor and specialist subcontractor, with final costs valued at 70% of the previous surveyors’ estimate.

The tendering, design, manufacture and installation was carried out during strict lockdown periods, long periods of rain in Autumn and in compliance with government regulations for safe working. Despite all the obstacles thrown at the scheme, the contract was completed on time and below budget.

We were able to work closely with the client, main contractor, Rosewood, and RLP, to ensure all problems were considered and resolved as a team.

The end result has considerable aesthetic and environmental improvements, increased security and fire safety measures, and the substantial benefit of blue-sky views.
